JULIA SONYA KOYFMAN (she/her) is a lyricist/ librettist, screenwriter, filmmaker, comedian, and performer. An NYC-based Seattleite, Julia is one-half the words duo: Goldenberg and Koyfman. Their work has been featured as a part of Hot Girls Write Musicals (produced by Skye Cone-Ivey), the 35th Annual NAMT Festival of New Musicals Midday Cabaret, 2024 New York Theatre Barn New Works Series and Choreography Lab, the 2024 MTEA New Works Collaboration Catalog, and the 2023 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project (FAYE with Chloe Geller). Along with Dusty Sanders, Julia won first prize in the 2021 Search for New Musicals for their musical It’s Always Off-Season At The Chalet Flamingo. Julia was an inaugural member of Seattle Opera’s Jane Lang Davis Creation Lab and the Musical Creators' Institute led by Sam Carner.
